Mandalay Beach.....

Set on the great southern coast...is Mandalay Beach, approximately 20km west of Walpole WA. Fortunately the family i set out here on Sunday, and what a beautiful day it was. Mandalay Beach is named after the ship 'Mandalay', which was shipwrecked in 1911, and still appears every few years on a low tide. Unfortunately this wasn't seen on my trip, but was still extremely worth while to spend time trooping up and down this pristine coast! In some of my pictures below, you will notice a large island called Chatham, this is known to be home of many seals....You will also see the changing in the weather and cloud formations of a typical august day in Walpole...

Hope you enjoy viewing the place I like to call home....

july holidays at bremer bay...

During the past holidays my family and I were fortunate enough to score some lovely weather in our 'home away from home' town called Bremer Bay. There are a numerous amount of pristine beaches, aqua blue waters, national parks and soft blue and white swept skys to phototgraph, not to mention the whales!! Hope you enjoy these images as much as I did taking and editing them.

Cheers Mikaela

my first blog...

Well people its now August, and winter is definitely upon us! Time to rug up near the fire, drink coffee, have soup and enjoy! Living in this delightful small town inspiration is never lacking. Recently I was lucky enough to be given a well loved Canon Camera, where I was taught to photograph by most memorable and cherished locations in my life, one being my hometown of Walpole. Here are some photographs I took recently from in and around Walpole/Nornalup.

Enjoy!!
